on the path…an extra day
Happy Leap Year Day!
I’m very excited for several reasons.
The main reason is the countdown is 18 hours and 25 minutes away from my first ever L.A. Marathon.
The second is a Dave Ramsey Class I’ve signed up for. It’s about money, and finances.
The third, this is the last day of my birthday month. I turned 40 this year so I decided to celebrate all month! (starting the last week of January). I had many wonderful experiences, except that time at the ‘Happy Finish’ massage parlor.
that was a joke - what can I say, I’m nervous about the marathon on Sunday.
A couple of things really stand out - Like stars aligning kinda stuff. I was able to attend an AFI Special Screening of 2001; A Space Oddysey. A 70 mm print at the Arclight Dome.
I met a really cool guy who is a drummer and synthesist. He let me see, play, hear my first ever Oberheim FVS (very rare & vintage synthesizer from 70’s). Although out of my price range, he had a lead on a particular instrument used by one of my favorite composers. So I purchased it. For a little while anyway.
All these things finding their place in my own little history has been very gratifying; almost as if I’m drawing these experiences in so I can let go and move foreward.
One Last Thing:
Thanks everyone for the kind encouragement about the Marathon. I’m exceedingly grateful.
btw my un-official theme song? “Don’t Stop Believin’” by Journey
More Later,
Thanks for Checking in.
